“Like many others in the RGV, the March floods were devastating. The damage that was caused was overwhelming. Once the initial shock passed and we did as much cleanup as we could, it was time to rebuild. Having had no experience with this, I asked around, and it was suggested that I check the classified ads in The Monitor. I called a few contractors and made appointments for free estimates. A few of them came out — and a few did not. They were all strictly business. No pleasantries whatsoever. But not Mr. Al from All Stars Remodeling. He came in and introduced himself. He made an effort to get to know me as a person. We talked about our families. He showed me photos of other jobs he had done. He put me at ease and made what would normally be a stressful situation much easier. The price he quoted was fair and reasonable. He explained exactly what he would be doing, and how. He gave me options in case I needed to stay within a budget. And he provided me with an estimate of how long the job would take. We signed the contract, which listed a payment schedule and work began a couple of days later. The construction crew was large, and they were efficient and friendly. Mr. Al answered the phone every time I called with a question, no matter what time. And he called regularly to keep me updated on how things were progressing. When I would personally check to see how things were going, he would walk me through the house, explaining what had been done and what more needed to be done. The work was completed on time and within the price I was given. The experience was a pleasant one. The crew did a great job bringing my house back to life. But most importantly, Al is a good, decent man. He is honest and transparent. I consider him a friend. I plan on having some additional work done in the future, and I will definitely use All Stars Remodeling again. I wholeheartedly recommend them for any job, no matter how big or small.”
